I don't have a wide range of bodies with which I have experience, but of what I own:
My MX (recently CLA'ed) is quieter than any of my Spotmatics (as long as I don't use the Winder MX, right Brendan? <g>); My MV is quieter than the MX (maybe 'cause of the plastic body?).
