I disagree. It's not fine with Elements 10.

I think it's a Windoze problem.

The DNG file you uploaded to Dropbox is fine; I downloaded it to this
computer & was able to open it in IrfanView with no problem and no
defects. It also opens in FastStone Image Viewer with no problems.

I notice you're using Windows Photo Viewer in the screenshot.

I've had problems in the past viewing DNG files (PEF files too, and the
NEF files from my Nikon scanner) using Windows preview (which brings up
Windows Photo Viewer). If I try to view your DNG file using Windows
Photo Viewer on THIS computer, I get the same crap you're showing in
that screenshot.

The thumbnail in my download folder looks Ok, but the preview in the
properties pane down at the bottom has that mucked up view.

Hello List!

I'm shooting with a new K-50 that I've had for about 9 months now.
The issue I'm having has been happening since I got the camera (and
I've been dragging my feet trying to figure it out).

I don't know if my problem is with the camera or with the memory card
(I'll swap cards out when I get home and start testing).

My issue:

The camera is taking photos and everything looks good if I review the
pictures via the camera and screen. Thumbnails on a computer also
look good. I shoot in DNG almost exclusively.

I copy the files to my computer via Photoshop Downloader and work with
them via Elements 12.

Every now and then (there is no rhyme or reason that I can figure
out), a picture doesn't seem to be properly 'finished'.

Here is a link to one of the DNG files
(https://www.dropbox.com/s/clp2ed62ky4m5ez/IMGP1213.DNG?dl=0)

Here is a link to a JPG of Windows screen shot of the file opened in
Windows Photo Viewer
(https://www.dropbox.com/s/4nrz2svaz79k96y/IMGP1213_Opened.JPG?dl=0)

The JPG is what I see when I open the file in CameraRAW for Photoshop.

This particular file was copied to an iMac using the Photoshop
downloader as well as a copy/paste to a Windows PC. Same results.

Prior to this last group of shots, I re-formatted the card in camera.

Any thoughts? Card / Camera / End User??

Thanks!
