A thousand years from now, when future archeologists are digging out
the foundation of our civilization, they'll ask their AI, "what the
heck is all that old plastic stuff in the box?"
"I think it was called film."
"what's it for?"
"Recording still images."
"Sheesh, what a PITA! Can you get anything out of it?"
"Most is too deteriorated to see anything recognizable, but this frame

"Figures. I have seen 8 million pictures of cats from this era already.
Why do you suppose they used this junk?"

Even if you did, how would you collect on the bet?
Life is resilient. It's a shame I won't be around to see what it's like,
but I expect there will be something to see. It may be people or it may
be something else that used to be people.
... or something that used to be small felines before they became people.
And, in truth, I expect they'll know more about our daily lives than we
know about the daily lives of people living in 1015.
I could have made it 100,000 or 1,000,000 years.
