Just to be clear - did the Zeiss rep mean no more Zeiss lenses in K mount ?

One would think that was what he had to mean.
It's more than a little hard to believe that Ricoh would take over the Pentax brand, fix a bunch of the Problems that Hoya created, produce what is one of the best APS-C SLRs on the market, put a new 645 format camera on the market, introduce, and presumably plan to market a full frame camera and then not produce lenses for it.

If one checks the Zeiss website, one will find no lenses for Pentax anyway. Zeiss has seemingly become a whore for the Sony brand.

Looks like the DA* 55/1.4 is out of the US lens lineup.
Perhaps they'll bring a digital 85/1.4 back for the full-frame?

Also Zeiss rep told me this summer, and most may know this, that there
will
be no more Pentax lenses.
What's out there is all there will be. So if you like 'em you'll have
to get
a used one or some NOS from a dealer.
