A colleague of mine a long time ago was having problems with low flow from the 
hot water in his kitchen.  The plumber turned up, unscrewed the little filter 
off the end of the mixer tap and cleaned it out.  Problem solved.

The cold had been fine as it was a mixed-pressure system (high-pressure cold 
and low-pressure hot).
