The Ricoh Imaging shows the list price for the K-3, (not II), for
$800.00 and the K-50 for $349.00 which is as far as imaging goes quite
the bargain. The K-3 seems to street for about $100.00 less.

In a related note, on Saturday, I saw a friend who recently picked up the K-S2 + two lenses from Costco for $500. I got a chance to play with the K-S2 for a bit. I can't say much about it's actual performance, but there were a couple of things that I disliked about it.

The first one was that the shutter and front e-dial were positioned such that my forefinger naturally fell on the e-dial and I had to pull it back to reach the shutter. If I rotated my hand so that my forefinger rested on the shutter, the lower right rear corner of the body dug into the palm of my hand in a rather uncomfortable manner.

The other thing that annoyed me was a gratuitous rearrangement of the four way switch. I think that almost all of my bodies have had a similar layout where the shutter menu was at the top, flash at the bottom and white balance was to the left. The one on the right differed between the K-5 and the K-x/K-r since the K-5 has a dedicated button for ISO. On the K-S2 the layout has been randomized, or at least rotated in such a way as to make switching between the K-S2 and other bodies particularly annoying.
