version and this one allows to focus on infinity so Lukasz can 
buy it safely.
But there are many adapters from small workshops on the market. 
Some of the don't allow to focus on infinity not because od 
workmansship failure but because of different design. They look 
like the Pentax adapter wit a ring added that covers the bayonet 
mount, lightproofing the connection. Doing that it adds about 1 
mm or so to the focal lengt and work as a mini extention tube. 
It's useful when working with M42 extension tubes, especially 
with those home-made ones. I had borrowed one of theese from a 
friend and it wasn't covering the area of the bayonet mount and 
the light was leaking into the body wit a very poor results on 
the pictures.
There was one of this kind of adapters on a Polish auction 
ending yesterday or so but the details are still up so you can 
see a picture of it as I might have not described it clealy:
