>From what I know, Pentax K -> M42 adapter is made only in one version and this one allows to focus on infinity so Lukasz can buy it safely. But there are many adapters from small workshops on the market. Some of the don't allow to focus on infinity not because od workmansship failure but because of different design. They look like the Pentax adapter wit a ring added that covers the bayonet mount, lightproofing the connection. Doing that it adds about 1 mm or so to the focal lengt and work as a mini extention tube. It's useful when working with M42 extension tubes, especially with those home-made ones. I had borrowed one of theese from a friend and it wasn't covering the area of the bayonet mount and the light was leaking into the body wit a very poor results on the pictures. There was one of this kind of adapters on a Polish auction ending yesterday or so but the details are still up so you can see a picture of it as I might have not described it clealy: http://www.allegro.pl/showitem.php?item=5501984
