You have my condolences, Ken. Both my 16-50 and 50-135 are awaiting repair for dead SDM.
One thing you could do is buy a 645Z because Pentax extends warranty support to your other Pentax bodies and lenses for the life of your 645Z support too. I plan to get my lenses repaired under that arrangement.
