I have metal cabinets that hold prints and slides in sleeves... and some drawers are for other things the drawers are 9 x 12 x 3 .. adding up to about 70 drawers in all... also big filing cabinet with small prints in boxes, and more shelves elsewhere for matted and larger prints.. The old metal cabinets are wonderful - got them at some office furniture close-out thing about 30 years ago...they have little places for card labels on the front of each drawer... some wooden cabinets too with boxes of slides in them.

HAve a couple of boxes similar to what Christine mentions too.

NOt sure how much help this is to you though, Brian... I expect climate in different areas requires different storage set-ups
not to mention inkjet versus wet prints made the old fashioned way.

Hi Brian:

I've started putting my prints into archival clamshell photo boxes. You can
arrange your boxes by theme and label if you like for easy access for
presenting. The boxes I purchased have metal supports on the corners, which
is pretty cool. The link below will have tons of options that might suit your
needs.

Hope that helps!

G'day all

I don't do a lot of prints - actually I don't do any myself. If I want
prints, I've found a lab that does a good job - good enough for me
anyway. But back to the point...

I am accumulating more prints than I have wall space to hang them but I
don't want them to deteriorate. So my question is - how do others store
prints so that they are both protected but accessible for viewing from
time to time?

I'm talking here about reasonably large prints - most are about 45cm x
30cm (18in x 12in).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Cheers

Brian
