I found a Lightroom plugin called "The Fader" that seems to do the
same thing as the "Fade" control in Photoshop's Edit menu.

John,

Yes, thank you. I've been using the brush technique in PS for the past
10 years. I don't think there is any similar way in LR, at least not in
v.5.x and earlier. (I am not sure about 6.x.)
That's why I am hoping there might be a plugin with that functionality.

Igor

PS. I just found LR/Mogrify 2 plugin... Looking at what it is capable of.
If anybody has used it with LR, - your impression is appreciated.

In Photoshop you can create a custom brush with your signature or
watermark and paint it anywhere on the image you want it to be. I
control the transparency by putting it on it's own layer, but you could
use the brush's transparency/flow controls OR use the fade control under
Edit instead.

I know Lightroom doesn't have layers, but does it have the fade command
in the Edit menu?
