Did you eat it or only photograph it? Looks like township shebeen food to me. Very nourishing but no frills.

The plate lunch is a quintessentially Hawaiian meal, that has its
roots in the Japanese bento.  A standard plate lunches consist of two
scoops of white rice, a scoop of macaroni salad, and an entrée.   A
plate lunch with more than one entrée is a mixed plate.

The entree can be fish, ribs, shrimp, kalua pork or whatever.  My
favorite is the loco moco, and Hawaiian as it gets.  The entree is a
large hamburger parry topped with fried eggs and brown gravy.
