Bill, It sounds like your ISP is running an open mail relay (spammers use these to hide their identity but I won't go into the details), and they've been blacklisted as a result - as they should be, in my opinion. I can't test it for sure because the PDML archives don't give the sender's email address (which prevents spam harvesting)... which is why I can't reply to you privately :) Not all ISPs use the blacklisting services which is why mail to most people (eg Hotmail) gets through. I couldn't believe that your ISP had the nerve to suggest you get your friends to change ISP's! If I were you I'd dump them and go elsewhere.
