A week ago I was expecting the price to be at least $1000 more than a
K3-II, so I wasn't even considering taking a serious look at the K1.
With the premium starting at $500 (and, no doubt, dropping noticeably
once the initial release period is over), I may yet change my mind.

I'm not going to be buying anything until I start using a camera again
on a regular basis. And even then I thought the K3-II would cover my
needs because most of the time I'm far more interested in longer focal
lengths than in wide angles, and I don't really need more than 24MP
(in fact the K5 and 16MP has yet to be a real limiting factor).

Things that I don't like about the K-1 when compared to the K3-II:

o Frame rate (for motorsports action shots I want all the fps I can get)

o The viewfinder - 0.7x vs. 0.95x magnification (although the extra border
around the crop area would be useful to see what's coming into frame).

Things that I do like:

o The AF system (I assume it will be better; I await actual reports)

o The larger rear screen, with the fancy tilt options

 o Built-in wireless

 o The third control dial

Things I don't really care about:

o The size and weight - I generally have a battery grip and the 60-250
attached, so the difference between the two cameras is less important.
