Id want to test it. See how sharp in the corners that DA lens is. The 50/1.4 is
no prize by today's standards. I expect the 24-70 will be my go to wide to

getting only the sweet spot on the K3. Primes have become somewhat irrelevant,
In my opinion.
You don't do a lot of action photography in EV 1 to -3 light levels, do
you? :-)
I just used JF's data explorer to look at 1335 photos shot at two dance
events over the past few weeks. They were all shot between total
effective exposure between EV 3 (five of them) and -2.
-2 10
-1 110
0 381
1 385
2 443
3 5
Primes are still incredibly relevant in my opinion.
Mind you, I've been very tempted by the sigma 18-35, but what it gains
in speed, it mostly loses in sensor coverage on the K-1. Their FF f/2
zoom isn't available on Pentax, and at 24-35 it's not a lot of zoom. It
almost seems to be an 18-35 that has been restricted to the range where
it covers the full frame image circle.
