Yes, that's where Jimi Hendrix recorded a couple of his Saturday Club
performances.
(Was the BBC "Playhouse Theatre" also in Portland, or at some other
BBC-studio elsewhere?
And on Regent Street there used to be this well known recording
studio - now, which one was it?)

hospital, I'd be most interested to know.

I got an idea. Why don't we set up picture trades on this list?
Some of you might want to trade pictures of racing cars, bugs, pets or
birds etc...
Me, for instance, I'm willing to offer a 1-to-1 trade for a good
picture of St James Palace and the (old) Portland Hotel. (One time
newspaper publishing rights included.)
I've got some Stockholm pictures, jazz, sports, boats and more to
trade... just ask and I'll see what I've got. :-) (but seriously).
