During the past year a new foot-bridge was built in Tekapo to make it easier to access the Church of the Good Shepherd. I'd been looking forward to trying it out; this is the view of the lake from halfway across.
http://gallery.multi.net.nz/photo/1010/#peso The town centre is out-of-frame to the left, the church is off to the right and the span I was crossing is the lake outlet which feeds the first of the hydro canals via a small dam. The church is very popular with tourists and if you squint you can see quite a few of them at the lake edge.
