Thanks for the comment, Igor.  Tekapo really is a beautiful little town but 
there's a lot of development going on there now and I think they're ruining it, 
except the bridge should have been built years ago.  It was built with a big 
community fundraising effort.

If you're into astronomy, the Mt John observatory is right next to the town.  
The area is recognised as a dark sky reserve.  I've always wanted to do a tour 
of the facility but haven't managed to be there at the right time yet.
