I remember that the going price for a new FA 50/1.4 was about $200-220
several years ago (before 2007?). At that point, the going price for a
used one was somewhere between 100 and 200.
At that point, I bought one via craigslist when a person agreed
to mail to me from San Francisco. Very shortly after that the prices shot
up rapidly. I've been thinking that the person who sold that lens to me
must have been disappointed by how low he sold it to me.
I see that in the past half a year to a year, the price on this lens again
came down. Also, Pentax/Ricoh relaxed a bit their originally (some
4-5 years ago) hiked-up prices. It might be the stronger dollar that is
the factor, or a change in the selling strategy.
Indeed, it is a bit sad to see that KEH here made such obvious mistakes
in the specs.

Wasn't too long ago that these were about $300.

But it probably doesn't help that they have the filter size at 72mm and
the
compatibility as Minolta Alpha.
