FWIW and INHO (many people question my compositions!):
1. “best” is 31965.
2. 2nd is 31967
3. 3rd is 31966.
My rationale:
a. In 31966 there is no there there. The road in the background is
distracting element, I am not sure what I am looking at in the photo.
b. In 31967 I think the tighter composition helps. I like the
lower-left to upper-right diagonal created by the taller plants. My knock on
this one has to do with focus. Focal point seems to be lower left and other
near elements, but I am not sure why. It leaves major portions of that diagonal
element out of focus. In particular, my eye is drawn to the two blossoms
slightly above dead center. If those were the focal point, I think I would love
this shot, but now they just frustrate me by their lack of sharp focus.
c. The best of the three in 65, but it still wouldn’t be a big favorite
of mine. The focus is handled better than in 67. Now the only sharp elements
are those in the lower left, everything else fades off and that works for me.
Unfortunately, the diagonal is not as strong, is almost more of a horizontal
element. Overall I think the shot is quite pleasing.
