I agree, I like the color better too - but the mono ain't all that "meh"

You know one thing about Rick's photo is what a good photography lesson it is...
It doesn't matter how humble or interesting in it self a subject is, if the way

Someone - I forgot who, used to give his students an assignment of
photographing door knobs(back in the film days - think the70'sin this case)
LIkewise, a subject that is inherently interesting in itself , if it is not photographed
with good light and interesting"geometry"
is likely to be boring.
