Thanks Rick. I have a friend who bought into adjustable ND. He’s quite passionate about long exposure photography (he’s dragged me kicking and screaming into it!). I get the impression that he is disappointed with it for the same reasons you state.
I decided to try a six stop and a three stop for flexibility. I can add a polariser for a bit more if I need to, but so far my best results have come from the ND6. Lots of experimenting to come!
