I’ve used a battery grip with all my Pentax DSLRs going right back to the *istD. This is the best one yet. It really provides a great handle and just fits my paw perfectly. The camera is chunky but not really very big, and I find it’s not enough to hang onto without the grip, particularly when using big lenses handheld. Pictured here with the A 50/1.2, it makes a pretty picture. In truth, when I shoot with this, I screw a metal Visitor lens hood into the A 50, but it kind of spoils the picture :-).
