I keep forgetting that SMC Pentax-F 1.7x AF Adapter is seen as an "A" type
of lens by the camera, and no information about the focal length is
transmitted to the camera.
Since my only "A"-type of lens used (not counting converters) is the
Samyang's 8mm-fisheye, it is what remains set for the focal length for the
shake reduction.
Today, I saw a bird (heron or crane?) in our subdivision (or heron?), and
came to photograph it. I put the 1.7 adapter in front of the 60-250 lens,
but forgot to dial for the SR.
While I had to shoot while holding the camera, I was relying in
part on the SR. The result is underwhelming...
... and now I am recalling that I've head this happening to me about a
year ago.
Doh!
BTW, maybe the resident experts could tell me if this is a heron (grey
heron?) or something else?
