A non-touchscreen laptop that came with Windoze Vista probably can't run
Windoze 10. No compatible video drivers.
Already found that out on my Toshiba.
That doesn't, however, stop the Windoze 10 nag popups.

At this point, the only reason I'd get Windows 10 would be if I was
running Windows Vista, or Windows 8 on non touchscreen laptop or desktop.

I definitely don't want to up grade... I'm keeping Windoze 7 pro -

I'm nervous about one thing -- on the bar across the bottom
(where it shows the little icons for the printer, the anti-virus
thing,
the voulme of the speaker, etc.. along with the start button,
explorer
folders, etc..)
there is a litle white image looking like a window with for panes -
mousing over it says "get windows 10" I'm afraid I'll hit it by
mistake
with a single mouse click,
afraid to try right clicking - which, logic tells me, would not
activate
anything but as I said, I'm nevous...
I would like the little icon not to be there... what say you?
