I had a going away party for Gracie yesterday. She and her mother are moving to
Houston in about 10 days. I shot a few pics while the kids played volleyball
and really managed to foul up my camera settings. I had it in Tav mode with the
shutter set at 1000 and the ap at 5.6. I was using the 150-450 from some
distance, mostly at 150, but I wanted to rule out camera shake. Well, it seems
my fingers got busy on their own and cranked the shutter speed up to 1/6400th
at some point. That caused the ISO to settle in at 12800 for most of the shots.
With any of my other cameras, that would have ruined the pics completely. These
turned out acceptable if a bit noisy. I even printed one of them, 3210, at 12 x
18. It looks good. Here’s the gallery I put together for the parents.
