I was experimenting with bracketing ISO (it seems to be better off just
underexposing a couple stops in a lower ISO and retaining highlights),
and just getting to know the gear. I need to be a lot more sensitive to
the focus point, I lost several shots because "it looked fine in the
viewfinder" but didn't look so good on the display.

The lighting at Canepa is very challenging, hard tungsten lights, mixed
with very blue light from the windows. I had a deuce of a time trying
to get red and orange cars to come out right.

Carry a pocket gray card or one of those pocket Macbeth color checkers.

D'oh! I have one. In my camera bag. I really need to learn how to use the full color range on it for better color balance than just using a greycard. I have found that the vast majority of the time, I can just get white balance off something black, or grey metal of some sort. It wasn't until I was post processing that I realized what a problem I was having with the red and orange cars.

Coincidentally, my stop before Canepa was ordering business cards printed up. Since it's the same cost to print both sides as one, I'm having the back printed matte 18% grey. That way, I'll always have a greycard with me.

If people are getting tired of all of my "explore the new gear" posts,
let me know. I've been figuring that people are as curious about what
the K-1 can do as I am, but I'm sort of self centered that way.
