My mother died peacefully last Thursday at an excellent hospice in Branford, very near where I took this photo.
To her I owe my love of choral singing, canoes, mountain lakes, hiking, cooking... and so, so much more. A onetime sketch and watercolor artist, she always encouraged my photography, and had several of my prints hanging in her apartment. Her spirit is everywhere, yet I miss her.
