Well, maybe. But they lost the sale to Adorama.
The $1796.95 price is what showed in the thumbnail ads but the higher price was 
on their website when I clicked through from one of the thumbnails or when I 
went via browser and login. I just looked again and as you say the price is 
back down. Whatever, whether it was a glitch or a premature price change, it 
pushed me to make a purchase decision and to purchase from someone else.

I can see them  raising the price by $500 and then giving a special 15% 
discount price for a limited period, which would still be a net price increase. 
That may be coming…
