Well, maybe. But they lost the sale to Adorama. The $1796.95 price is what showed in the thumbnail ads but the higher price was on their website when I clicked through from one of the thumbnails or when I went via browser and login. I just looked again and as you say the price is back down. Whatever, whether it was a glitch or a premature price change, it pushed me to make a purchase decision and to purchase from someone else. I can see them raising the price by $500 and then giving a special 15% discount price for a limited period, which would still be a net price increase. That may be coming… stan > > > FWIW, B&H shows me $1800 (1796.95) for 70-200/2.8: > http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1117718-REG/pentax_21330_hd_pentax_d_fa.html > > And 24-70 is $1296.95: > http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=1187673&gclid=CjwKEAjwqdi7BRCL6Zmjk5-rsTwSJABmrVabZoGPDi5i_OEnh9GjuMb18HrQWraV3GFsE2SF25mRbhoCAHfw_wcB&is=REG&ap=y&m=Y&c3api=1876%2C92051678642%2C&Q=&A=details > > > BTW, there are two "used" 24-70 at about $1100-1150: > http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=pentax+24-70%2F2.8&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search= > > > HTH, > > Igor > > > > On Jul 1, 2016, at 12:07 PM, Stanley Halpin wrote: >> >> I have been dithering.
