What year is your mini? Core2Duo processor is sounding a bit long in the tooth 
to put $600-700 into. Mine is a 2012 2.6Ghz i7 Quad and I'd be a bit reluctant 
to put that much into updates at this point. 

For $1500, you can get a new, maxed out mini with 3Ghz, 16G RAM, and 2T Fusion 
drive. And a three year warranty...
