Christian, With my Centon fixed f8 500mm mirror lens, I have used mostly Fuji 800ASA or 400ASA, since the results I got with 100ASA and 200ASA were poor. I also use a Vivitar 300mm f5.5-f22, Vivitar 400mm f6.3-f22. As my eyesight is not so good, I think I need some sort of diopter correction or 3x magnifier to help me focus. I may revisit lower speed films, and see what happens.
The closest I can get to the BE's nest, is 120 feet, as the closer I get the higher the angle, and the less I can see of the subject. There is an embankment 200 Yds behind me where I took some shots with a 2x converter, but it was too far away. I've got a 3x Vivitar converter but that would give me f22 with the Centon, f16 with the 300mm and somewhere between for the 400mm lens. James - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
