I'm new to it also, and it takes a little getting used to when framing a shot. Where the FA-1 has a magnification of slightly less than unity (0.9-something), the FB-1/FC-1 has a lot less. This extra amount of "push-away" means that framing too tight in the finder bleeds you off the edges of the neg.
