What a foreboding place. Must have been hell for the convicts. Perhaps the
wooden fence is 180 years old too?

These barracks are located on a high cliff at Stanley on the north coast
of Tasmania, where they have been exposed to gales from Bass Strait for
about 180 years. Time has taken its toll:
