Hi all,
I'm currently trying to sell my K45-125 f4 zoom. One of the
questions that cropped up was about a matched close-up lens, that sits in
the lens case, presumably like the one that came with the K85-210 f4.5

My answer was that my lens didn't have one and there wasn't anywhere to put
it in the case lid, like the 85-210 (I used to own one of those). As the
lens came to me boxed, with the lens hood and case strap still in the bags
I;m fairly confident that it never had a closeup lens.

Anyway, while looking at the accessory sheet that came with an LX I bought
last week, I noticed an Attachment Lens for 45-125mm Zoom listed. Looking
at the line up of lenses, there is a 45-125mm zoom listed, but as 67mm
filter size. Mine is a 58mm filter size, as shown on Boz's K-mount pages,
and all the ones I could find for sale (KEH etc) were listed as 58mm, if the
filter size was shown.

The weird thing is that all the K mount lens catalogs that I have (the
little orange K version, the light blue M verson and the black A version)
show a much bigger lens, which probably would be about a 67mm size. Even the
catalog that came with the lens lists it as 67mm!

I thought maybe the 58mm version was the old screw mount one and maybe the
67mm version was a newer version, but from what I can find the screwmount
was also 67mm. What's even stranger is that both lenses are listed as f4, so
all that extra glass doesn't seem to be doing much.

So the question is, does anyone have a 45-125mm zoom with the 67mm filter
size? Do you have the closeup lens?

Thanks to anyone who can satisfy my not-so-idle curiosity
