Great image - are 'phone cameras taking over? I rarely see a DSLR used when
I'm out.
Malcolm
Phone cameras have pretty much displaced Bridge Cameras and P&S
cameras. I've even seen 8" tablets being used because the user thought
the big display thought it equaled "quality".
However when I was at Gillette's Castle a couple of days ago I saw a
couple of other DSLRs one looked like a D300, the other was too far away
to identify, but looked to be about the same size as a 70/80D or D90.
There weren't that many people there, but everyone else who probably
would have been using a P&S or Bridge a few years ago were taking
pictures with their phones.
Also given that most bridge cameras are designed to mimic DSLRs, thats
probably why you don't see a lot of DSLRs these days, you may not have
been seeing a lot of DSLRs before.
