These things ain't a limo. They ain't even a station wagon for momma to use
picking up the kids after school.
They are TRUCKS. They are meant to haul Hay, take Bossy, or a couple of
heifers, or a sow, or whatever -- where ever they need to go. Or bring hay
or barbed wire and fence posts to the quarter section (poor), section (rich)
that you are farming. And Bossy don't care about bounce. If you care about
bounce you are driving too fast on those dirt roads. Now, about this
Good one.
Thats my attitude for trucks as well, they are meant to haul, but in
the current state of affairs most people buy and look at them as cars
with a really big trunk.:-)
Back in the day, when cars had a really big trunk, they also had really
big motors, and really big transmissions, and could pull a really big
trailer.
My neighbor, when I was a kid, had some sort of ginormous Ford with what
he referred to as a truck drivetrain. Something like 500 CID engine.
Pretty much, I want a car with a really big trunk that can tow
something. It needs a trunk large enough to carry a sheet of plywood,
and a tow rating large enough to haul a 6000 pound trailer up a 9% grade
for 35km.
Thats my reasoning behind not getting a lot of electronic gizmos that
cost money to fix when they go down.
