The fervor and tribalism people display towards car brands is as rabid and
often as meaningful as the tribalism associated with sportsball teams.
Every brand has good and bad models, and good and bad stretches of time.
Also, what works well for one person, may not work so well for others.
Some cars with a poor reputation for reliability are actually very
reliable, if you maintain them properly. They can handle a lot of abuse,
they just can't handle neglect.
Funny thing, it's a lot like cameras, every brand, and every model within
that brand, has its strengths and weaknesses, something that I'd expect
people who shoot Pentax to understand better than most.
