That would be uisge-beatha (ooshka-vah) and the anglicized version of that is whisky (or whiskey if it's not scotch). Chag Sameach is basically "Happy Holiday" in Hebrew.
and my knowledge of Yiddish is even slighter than my knowledge of Gaelic, I missed the pun entirely. To the back of the class for me. Facing the corner, too.
It's just an opportunity to learn, although you should know by now that if you don't understand something I say there's a good chance that it's a bad joke.
