Hey all. A small local group i am part of "Thepassingshow".
http://www.thepassingshow.com/members wanted to do a book of local
pictures for Canada's 150th birthday this year. It was a big
undertaking as some of the organizers wanted to build a pro book
which would entail a great cost and order numbers. It has been scaled
back to a smaller less pro book and do something with shutterfly or
blurb or some such on line presence. We are having meeting Tuesday at
local pub to discuss this. I suppose my question would be to Mark and
Bill and who ever has done some blurb or shutterfly books on the
process. I did one blurb book many years ago for family but it was
pretty basic.
I recommend you bribe Mark to use it as a class project.
I've done a few. Adobe has an all singing all dancing program for
publishing (InDesign) which will publish directly to blurb. It does a
great job, but the learning curve is more work than putting together the
book. I'd suggest just giving it a try in lightroom and see if that
comes close enough to what you want, if that doesn't work, then put in
the effort to try something else.
