My experience is the same as John's. I bought my first Pentax -- actually branded as a Honeywell Spotmatic - in 1967, and I have been loyal since, because I could use my older lenses in the newer models, and because of the consistent quality of the cameras and lenses. Like John, my current cameras may well outlive me.
