Butch, Let's see: 1/4 at 2000 is the same as 1/16 and (4 stops diff) 125. That twice the exposure of sunny 16 for 200 film, right? With f/5.6 that would be exactly "sunny 16". Now, what were the conditions when you shot? 2 stops *over* exposure (meaning twice as much light as on a bright sunny day) most likely means the camera was fooled by something, or the speeds are off.
I have used a ME-S a lot, but never with 2000 shutter speed, so I have no idea what's going on there (and would be very surprised if the speed that fast was exact on a camera that old) Hope that helps.
