Well I like them because I do a lot of walking and I don't like to carry 
around 5 lenses when I can do about the same with 1 or 2 zooms..

And as I don't need my pictures to be the best in the world... (hey I'm only 
an amateur) I won't buy the most expensive zooms...

Bought me a 100 to 300mm sigma FA zoom last week for about � 120,- and 
together with the 28 to 80mm that came with the camera that will do for 
99,99999% of the pictures I'm going to take walking around in the 
mountains...
