I had the same reaction to the comment regarding the sharpness of
scanned prints vs. darkroom prints. My scanned prints (Agfa Duoscan
2500T and Epson 1200) are far sharper than anything I can get from a
machine print mini lab and considerably sharper than prints from the pro
labs. I don't know why, but they are.
