I had a nice conversation with George Utley once. He was very funny, and quite foul-mouthed.
It occurred at a friend's wedding in NYC, back in 1963, almost two decades before the premiere of the Newhart Show, and, of course, it was Tom Poston, but the wry sense of humor was all George Utley.
