Okay, I am basically video clueless.

I have Video Premier Elements 11 on my computer. I am not sure it will do mp4, I know it will do mp3. I have a Lenovo PC.

Last Tuesday we had a speaker for my church's environmental group. This was co-sponsored by various other local groups.

A woman from the local Peace Center used her cell to video tape the talk. One of our group's members' husband helped her import the video to computer. I do not KNOW how he did it, what software he used.

It seems half way through the video the orientation changes from landscape to portrait. I saw her tape it, the cell was on a stand. I do not know if she accidentally changed the orientation while taping. It's possible, you know how sensitive cell phone are to that. It is possible during importing the orientation was changed.

I am not the only one clueless here.

She says her computer is a HP laptop and the phone is Sansung S4 and the file is a MP4.

Questions:

1. Is there a way to change the orientation 1/2 through on the existing MP4? Maybe using Elements Video Premier 11? Or something else?
2. Would it be better to re-import it?
3. If so, is there a way to change the orientation 1/2 way through, if the orientation was wrong on the phone to begin with?

Assume no more money will be spent on this. It needs to be the software we have or free software.

I think the fact the orientation changes 1/2 through is the major problem.

Any help you can offer would be appreciated.
