I prefer to have spell check ON and auto-correct OFF. That way I can
see the words spell check doesn't find in its dictionary and either
add them or let spell check supply the correct spelling.
I do the same.. but sometimes I click on the wrong thing after that! :-)
That leaves only the problem of finding the correct word in the first
place (for some reason, my fingers keep trying to substitute "work"
for "word").
I'm more often substituting "word" (words with friends) for "work" -
must reform!
