Stan, according to DPR the problem is that the idiotic noise reduction (IDR?) is hard-wired. Rick PS: 17-70 lens returned from its SDM replacement trip late last week. Nice to have it back. Hope the new motor lasts longer than 6 months before it begins to fail...
