Thanks, Jack. The Eagle was really a bit too far away in subdued light. (The
Ellies were in bright sun).
I sat there for about 20 min. waiting for it to move off but it really took its
time eating.
At 500mm I've tried the 1.7x AF TC on the Sigma at home. Softens the images.
Obviously not as good as the newer 1.4x optically.
Mind you, youv'e given me an idea: Perhaps 300mm + TC will be sharper than
500mm without?
