I think what happens with the 6x7 is that there is a rather
large slap from the mirror which is passed to the tripod. This
vibration is very well damped by the body, and is gone by the
time the shutter opens, but it still rings the tripod, which can
stay oscillating for several seconds. This would be why hand
held, vibration is of little issue with the 6x7, The human body
damps the mirror slap as well as the camera itself does.
I had more problems with vibration from my Super Programs than I
ever had with my 6x7.
Caveat: I don't have long lenses for the 6x7. My longest lens is
a 200mm.
