Caveat: I have no experience with 67's (I wish), and other than peering
through Aaron's for about 2 minutes a couple of months ago, have never
even touched one.

But, as far as vibrations from mirror slap goes, it reminded me of using
long lenses on 35mm cameras. I've noticed that many sports
photographers at events rest a hand atop the lens. I always assumed
that it was just a place to put your hand. Then I read that this is
done to dampen vibrations.

Might that help damp vibrations on a 67 with a longer lens, even on a
cheaper tripod? Anybody try this?

Just a thought.

regards,
frank
