I believe the quality problem with 110 film lies in the photolab. I noticed
that I consistently get better results from Minox (8*11mm) than from Pentax
110 and pocket film.

The difference between in negative size between 'Minox' and '110' is at
least as large as 35mm vs MF -why does this not show? Actually 110 is not
that far off from APS size, maybe factor 2. The poor grainy prints of 110
-I also get them in the shop around the corner- are just not explained by
the format size.

Most 110 cameras were cheap junk. The film manufacturers know this and put
cheap film into the 110 casettes. The photolabs know this and use cheap
processing/chemistry and the makers of printing machines for 110 know this
and make cheap printers with poor lenses.

In Germany the Minox Specialist Photo Paarz http://paarz.net/ also develops
and prints 110 film. They are not cheap -but you'll get much more out of
your film. -And they will process your film to the sensitivity you actually
exposed it (80/400 ASA) and not to what it says on the film (200 ASA).
